28 März 2009 - Berlin

Officially, my second day in Berlin and in Germany (I don't count the day I arrived-- I was far too jetlagged).

My cousin I (after bringing me to visit some more cousins and relatives), drove me to another part of Zehlendorf. I arrived at my Gastmutters Haus (host-mother's house) on the 28 of March and I immediately (well, after unpacking and napping) went for a walk in order to explore.

This photo captures the area in which I live in one quick shot: quaint, colorful, classic, but with a modern twist.

I found a small park (conveniently next to the S-Bahn stop that I would come to frequent) and enjoyed a restful, long, people-watching session-- perfect for getting to know a new area, in my opinion. Zehlendorf is a wonderful area of Berlin-- removed from the bustle of the downtown crazyness, but still very much accessible from the heart of the city.
